First make sure you have a memory card inserted into your BlackBerry to store music, photos or video. You will need to enable Mass Storage Mode Support. We recommend you turn on "Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode" on the memory menu of your BlackBerry if it's available as an option on your specific model. This saves you from the hassle of manually turning Mass Storage mode on every time you want to sync.

Note: when initially connecting your BlackBerry to your computer a message will pop asking if you want to connect in Mass Storage mode. Press Yes. If you ignore this request for about 10 seconds you will not be connected in Mass Storage mode and attempting to sync will not be successful. If you have protected the memory card of your BlackBerry with a password, make sure to unlock it once you connect to your computer.

To sync your BlackBerry to a Windows PC:
1. Plug the USB cable into your computer
2. The device will show up under "Devices" on the left sidebar
3. Click on the device -- not the individual folders for pictures, videos or music (these are for viewing the content on your device)
4. Click on the Photos, Music or Video tab (inside the main doubleTwist window) to configure your sync preferences

Select the checkbox "Sync photos with this device" if you want to sync photos.
Select the checkbox "Sync music with this device" if you want to sync music.
Select the checkbox "Sync video with this device" if you want to sync video.

Choose between syncing "All photos" and specific photo folders
Choose between syncing "All music" and specific music playlists
Choose between syncing "All video" and specific video folders

5. When all is in place, click Sync on the bottom right and sit back and let doubleTwist do all the heavy lifting. doubleTwist will remember your settings so you only need to do this once (or whenever you want to change your sync preferences)

To sync your BlackBerry to your Mac:
Its a simple drag and drop from your media library or from items in your activity feed. Easy as pie!

I am using Vista 64, and a Blackberry Storm 9530.

When I plug the BB into the computer, it prompts me, I open it, and can see the Device memory and the media Card. When I launch DoubleTwist - I can see the BB, Device memory, but NOT the media card.

Mass Storage is ENABLED. Any ideass?

thanks,
Gordon

To follow up - I just opened BB media manager - it mapped my Media Card to "G" - now when I open DoubleTwist, I can see the media card - any idea how i can get this to be the default action when I plug the Blackberry in?

thanks,
Gordon

Just an update to this - you not only have to have Mass Storage Enabled - but you also have to enable "auto enable mass storage mode when connected".

this allowed me to see both the internal and the Media Card media.

thanks,

I have a BB Tour and want to sync my Itunes and Podcast from DoubleTwist. DO I need to clean all media off my BB so I don't get duplicates?
