Also the Lg Dare works with doubletwist. It is just when I try to sync pictures it doesn't recognize I have any. The doubletwist library has the pictures in there but when i go to sync selected pictures there are none to look at. It is the same exact thing with videos. Music works fine though. What am I doing wrong?

First off, I've had a number of folks report that the Dare is not being recognized. Your's obviously is. Could you share with us your set up of the phone to get it recognized? This may help other and make you a hero to many. When you say the pictures and video are not showing up on the Dare, do yo mean when it's plugged into dT and you select the picture or video tab on the device, or on the phone itself after you disconnect. thanks, bt oh, and I moved the post here to teh LG forum with its own topic for organization purposes. --- Read the FAQ first, before posting. Well what I do is I plug the phone into the computer and then go in the phone and select sync music and then doubletwist recognizes the phone. What doesn't work though is when you click on device and go to pictures. I check only the selected but there are no pictures in the big box you are supposed to select to put in the phone. Also there is not even a tab for videos. All you can select is general pictures and music. Music works fine but pictures and video don't. Yah so do you know what i am doing wrong?

If you don't understand what I said. This is much easier to understand. When it's plugged into dT and you select the picture or video tab on the device there is nothing there.

Hi. It looks as if your device is recognized by doubleTwist as a generic device. Could you click on "Tell us more about your device" and if possible include the location of your photo folder on the device? This will help us improve support for the LG Dare. Thanks, Twister twisted attached the following image(s): doubleTwist: Play any file, Sync to any device, Send to anyone BlackBerry Sync: Music, Podcasts, Photos, Videos, iTunes playlists (PC & Mac) PSP Sync: Music, Video, Podcasts, Photos, iTunes playlists (PC & Mac) iPod and iPhone Sync: convert any video and load it to your iPod or iPhone (PC) G1 Sync: Music, Podcasts, Videos, Photos, iTunes playlists (PC & Mac)

Ok well doubletwist has the photos in the doubletwist library but the phone doesn't see them when you click on the Picture tab. ALso I got it to work a different way. Make sure doubletwist is closed when you turn on usb mass storage on on your phone and then open dt and dt recognizes it. If you turn on usb mass storage mode on while dt is open dt doesn't recoginize it. Also I got photos to sync but the only way I can get the photos on the phone is by clicking sync. There is still no pictures when you select the pictures tab on dt but by just clicking sync in the pictures tab you can sync all the pictures. I don't understand what you mean the location of your photo folder on the device.

That's fairly common behavior with some devices. Making changes while a handshake is happening doesn't always transmit the change actions. Best bet is what you described above, or to turn on the mass storage mode for a device before you connect it to your computer. Then with doubleTwist running, plug in the device. Ok well doubletwist has the photos in the doubletwist library but the phone doesn't see them when you click on the Picture tab, but by just clicking sync in the pictures tab you can sync all the pictures.
When you disconnect and view on the Dare itself, you can see that they synced properly? I don't understand what you mean the location of your photo folder on the device. i.e. Where the photos are stored on your device -- internal storage or on a memory card and the folder in that locatoin. It sounds like dT is looking in the wrong place for display within the dT application, while at least aiming the sync at the right Dare location --- Read the FAQ first, before posting. It is storing on the sd card in the phone. When I plug it in the sd card is stored in my computer. It is named Removable disc (F:) Is that what you are looking for? When I plug the phone in it recognizes it as the name lg electronics which doesn't make any since to me. The pictures aren't on the phone. It says they synced though. I never checked. I forgot. My bad. yah so the only thing I can sync on it is music.

Ok I have a question. This is what I did after I synced the music and pictures. The music went into a folder called Music and the pictures went into a folder called Images. But they weren't on the phone. SO I did this I changed the name of the Music folder name to my_pix because thats what the phone recognizes. I also changed the Images folder name to my_pix because that is also what the phone recognizes as the pictures. The phone recognized the stuff so it is on the phone. But when I went back to sync the phone it just made new folders called Music and Images again. SO is there a way to get it not to make new folders and just send it into the my_pix folder and my_music folder?

The Dare is going to need its own adapter built so dT will properly recognize it and know what directories to place media. since ti not recognized, dt is putting media in a default directory. So the answer to your question is yes, there is a way to make it Not create new, unusable directories, but that requires development work and we're backlogged. It is in the queue for adapter bindings creation. --- Read the FAQ first, before posting. Follow the dt forums announcements on TwitterJoin our Facebook Group

Here is a little info. I called verizon today and asked what software the lg dare is on and they said v07. I think that was like just released. Because I can't find any articles saying new v07 for Lg Dare anywhere. The estimated time for the update was in middle to late June too. SO I think it just got released. I'm telling you this because the new update might cause a problem with you trying to get the LG Dare to work with doubletwist.
